Following last year's fantastic Piano Concert by talented young people, we are holding the event again on Saturday 6th June at St Peters Church , Ravenshead, NG15 9FD.
Its approximately a 2-hour event on the Saturday afternoon from 2pm with doors open from 1:30pm.
Refreshments will be served.
Featuring some of the regions top young musicians, this event creates the opportunity for young pianists to perform on a concert quality piano that is organised by Rotarian Phil Taylor, in front of an audience to build their confidence and widen their performance experience.
This is the 3rd time this event has featured in the village and this year also a Cellist and Violinist will feature in the opening of Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor, Op.17.
An Oboe may also make an appearance, so it promises to be another amazing afternoon with Mozart, Schubert, Debussy, Chopin and Brahms, possibilities of film music and jazz and even a bit of Radiohead thrown in. More information in next edition.
An approximate two hour programme is envisaged with an interval when refreshments will be provided by The Inner Wheel Club of Ravenshead. A suggested donation of £1 each will help raise funds for Ready Call and Guide Dogs.
All proceeds will be split between our nominated charities of Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, and Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes, along with our other local charities and community projects.
