A BIG thank you from our Rotary Santa and President Susie

This year our Rotary Santa was very busy thanks to all the support we received from those who responded to our appeal for extra Elves to help.

The response was amazing and enabled us to complete all our planned routes this year.

Santa's first appearance was at the Village Lights Switch-on event where he greeted almost a 100 local children to find out what they were wishing for Christmas. Santa gave each a small present from your local Parish Council. He was also seen in the Village Precinct and at the Farm Shop on Main Road, and around the streets of Ravenshead and Blidworth on his Sleigh. where probably a record number of children greeted Santa and his Elves.

This year over £5000 Raised in support of Local Charities

Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary always appreciate the support it gets from you all during our Christmas Santa Sleigh and collections

It’s been really good to see so many of you supporting us and our fund-raising appearances around the Villages, as well as in Oak Tree Lane Tesco.

The Magnificent sum of over £5000 was collected this year. Over 52% of this sum will be distributed directly to all the local organisations whose members helped out during our Santa outings.

This includes Ravenshead Inner Wheel, Blidworth Arts, Ravenshead Community Transport, Ready Call, Hetty’s, Blood Bikes, the National Brain Appeal and FORCEPS – (Friends of Ravenshead Church of England Primary School)..

The balance of around £2300 will top up our Charity fund account so Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary can continue through 2026 its support for the many local charitable organisations within our villages and other good causes that will be mentioned in these pages during the forthcoming year.

Breaking News!

Was it too many mince pies? Potholes or the extra vitamins Santa fed his Reindeer this year!!!

Santa's Sleigh needed urgent repair after one of its first trips out in Blidworth.

Thankfully Ravenshead Garage came to Santa's rescue and repaired the Sleigh so Santa could continue and complete all his trips this Christmas. Thank you to Jono, Will, Aron and Jack.

President Susie and Past President Dave present a certificate of appreciation
to the guys from Ravenshead Garage.
