Andrew Draper who volunteers as a storyteller for Southwell Workhouse presented a story in character of a boy who, in the 1840s, found himself and his family taken in by the Workhouse, what life was like in the Workhouse and how through a seven year apprenticeship as a blacksmith he came to be his own man by making left-handed shears.
The meeting was well attended by members and partners.
